LOCATED ABOUT 120 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MYRTLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINA

ROAD Town, Tortola, VI- TS Alberto is located about 120 miles Southeast of South Carolina. Alberto has begun to acquire more tropical characteristics as showers and thunderstorms have increased near the circulation center and will continue to move slowly Southward or Westward over the next day or so. This system has a 50 percent of becoming a hurricane during the next 48 hours.
